Serena's used to being prodded and poked by men and women in white coats at this point – it's still surreal to her, the idea of a woman becoming a doctor – but she's not expecting it when a hand rests on her shoulder. She does her best to shake it off but she's weak, iron and no doubt blood sugar low with her attitude about the food.

"You've been mistaken," she says, and her tone doesn't soften when she turns to realize it's a doctor with a hand on her.
